Our philosophy
We've always believed that wine bars are where people experience, where people create, where people connect with the world of wine. What we love is understanding wine from the farmer’s point of view — starting from the land, not the label. There are two things we think about when choosing a wine for Frenchie: the past and the history, the wine’s profile as a family lineage, the heritage behind every bottle; and the varietal, a way of discovering the terroir that surrounds that wine. The first time we heard the word “biodynamics,” we couldn’t understand it — it took years to really grasp what’s behind that philosophy, that way of life: creating an ecosystem around the vineyard, following the lunar cycles, respecting the days for watering, flowering, soil, water, so that there’s complete harmony among all the beings that surround it. Those wines carry a taste that’s special, unique, almost esoteric. One of the things that has surprised us most in hospitality is getting to know vignerons: the humility and honesty with which they carry themselves, and how that comes through in the wine they make. That’s why we look for wines that can carry that same humility, that personality, that harmony with the land — that peace and calm carried into the glass, so the glass can give you the same feeling. In biodynamic wines, we’ve always been able to find that feeling. At Frenchie, our job is to carry that vigneron’s work forward, in a way people can understand and enjoy — at its core, Frenchie is about low-intervention wines that express a great deal, wines that carry a love for nature, for that perfect ecosystem, and the special note that only these wines can bring.
What guides every bottle we pour:
• History over hype — we choose wines with a family story behind them, not just a famous name.
• Terroir first — the varietal is a window into the land, not a marketing label.
• Minimal intervention — we favor biodynamic, organic, and low-intervention winemaking, because that’s where honesty in the glass comes from.
• The vigneron’s hand — we look for the humility and personality of the people who made the wine, not just technical perfection.
• Connection over consumption — every glass should make a guest feel something: a place, a person, a season.

2010 Spring Mountain Napa Valley CA C. Sauvignon
Spring Mountain Vineyard's 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon comes from their high-elevation Napa Valley estate on Spring Mountain's eastern slopes, where diverse hillside blocks on volcanic and sedimentary soils produced low yields in the cool, late 2010 growing season. This Bordeaux-style blend emphasizes bright varietal character, structure, and longevity more akin to Bordeaux than typical California ripeness, aged 22 months in new French oak and bottled in September 2012. $150 Add to cart -

2012 Byrd Vineyard Mendocino CA C. Sauvignon
Byrd Vineyard's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendocino is estate-grown at 2,400 feet elevation, primarily 95.5% Cabernet Sauvignon with 4.5% Merlot from hillside vineyards with excellent drainage and cooler temperatures. Hundred Acre's 2015 Kayli Morgan Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet from the estate's 9-acre site just north of St. Helena at Howell Mountain's base, featuring chocolatey clay soils that stress vines during drought for concentrated, mineral-rich fruit. The 2015 vintage delivered powerful Napa richness with elegance from Jayson Woodbridge's perfectionist approach, offering remarkable purity, balance, and decades of aging potential. $1.050 Add to cart -

2015 Stony hill Napa Valley CA Chardonnay
2015 Stony Hill Chardonnay from Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain District is a classic, restrained California Chardonnay from one of the region’s most historic producers. 2016 Spring Mountain, ELIVETTE Napa Valley CA C. Sauvignon
Spring Mountain Vineyard's 2016 Elivette is their signature Bordeaux blend reserve from the estate's 135 unique high-elevation blocks across steep Spring Mountain hillsides in Napa Valley. 2017 Heitz, Trailside Vineyard Rutherford Napa Valley CA C. Sauvignon
Heitz Cellar's 2017 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the eastern edge of Rutherford, Napa Valley, where volcanic soils and mountain runoff create deep-rooted vines on this estate property since 1984. This 100% Cabernet expresses classic Rutherford dust with concentrated fruit from the warm 2017 vintage, aged traditionally in neutral tanks then new French oak for structure and complexity through 2038. $150 Add to cart
